IONL Spring Conference, June 10, 2011 - Sheraton Hotel - West Des Moines

Before turning to healthcare as a career in 1994, Kathleen Bartholomew held positions in marketing, business, communications and teaching. It was these experiences that allowed her to look at nursing from a different perspective and speak poignantly to the issues that effect nurses today. This background laid the foundation for her to correctly identify the norms and mores particular to healthcare – specifically physician-nurse relationships and nurse-to-nurse hostility.
Kathleen’s passion for nursing is infectious. Her presentation inter-laced with research will reawaken every nurse’s commitment and love of nursing. Her most ardent desire is to empower nurses through knowledge and the power of story. Every nurse that hears her is inspired.

Jo Ann Webb is the Senior Director of Federal Relations and Policy for the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE). As the chief lobbyist and director of advocacy relations for the 7,000 registered professional nurses in executive practice who are members of AONE, Jo Ann will highlight the challenges and opportunities presented by the Health Care Reform law.

Steve Siemens says, "to give real service you must add something that cannot be bought or measured with money: passion integrity and enthusiasm." Steve will share his unique wit wisdom and common sense as he helps nurse leaders learn how to stay UP in an upside down world by focusing on these six areas: purpose, people, problems, perspective, positivism and persistence.
Building People is Steve's passion.
This year's conference will be held at the Sheraton West Des Moines Hotel
1800 50th Street, West Des Moines
